talksociety.ai sets one cookie, and it is there for security. There is no advertising pixel, no analytics tag and no cross-site tracking on this site — which is why you are not being asked to accept anything.
The one cookie
| Name | What it is for | How long |
|---|---|---|
_hark_key |
A signed session cookie. It carries the token that proves a form submitted to us came from this site and not from somebody else's — the protection against cross-site request forgery. It holds no name, no contact details and no record of what you looked at. | Up to 400 days (the longest a browser will keep one) |
It is strictly necessary for the site to work safely, so under the ePrivacy rules it does not need your consent — and there is nothing here to opt into. It is set for up to 400 days, the longest lifetime a browser will honour, because the same cookie keeps a signed-in operator signed in on our own internal console; on this site it only ever carries the security token.
What we do not set
- No advertising or retargeting cookies, and no advertising pixel.
- No analytics or measurement cookies.
- No third-party cookies of any kind, and nothing that follows you to another site.
- No local storage or similar technology used to profile you. The page's own code keeps what it needs for a demo in memory and forgets it when the tab closes.
- No third-party fonts, maps or widgets — the fonts are served from this site.
Turning it off
Every browser can block or clear cookies. If you block this one, pages will still load and you can read everything, but nothing you send us will go through — that means the voice demos and the contact form, all of which we refuse without the security token.
Other records
Cookies are not the only thing a website keeps. Our servers write ordinary request logs, and a voice demo keeps a transcript of the conversation. What that means and how to have it deleted is in the privacy notice.
Changes
If we ever add a cookie, this page changes before the cookie ships, and the date at the top changes with it.
